Caring for your Emerald Garleac

Orchids drink slowly but steadily, so keep the vase topped up with clean, room-temperature water rather than icy water, which can shock their tender stems. Their stems bruise and kink easily, so handle them by the firmer base and recut about a centimetre off the bottom at an angle before arranging. Position Ocean Enamel away from direct sun, cooling vents, and ripening fruit, as the ethylene that fruit releases will age these orchids faster than almost anything else. A light mist over the petals every couple of days suits their tropical nature and keeps the blooms looking fresh between water changes.
