Crystal Oracle is a clear glass vase with a twisted, ribbed body that rises through a soft hourglass curve. The twist turns the ribbing against the light, so the glass throws fine vertical highlights in daylight and softens to a glow in the evening. Because it is clear rather than tinted, it takes its colour from the room and from whatever it holds.
The narrower waist is useful as well as decorative: it supports stems and keeps an arrangement upright, so a few structural flowers or a handful of branches look composed without much effort. In the photograph it is styled with white roses, cream hydrangea and orchids, which gives a sense of how a soft, pale arrangement sits above the ribbing. Dried grasses or bare branches work too, and it holds its own on a shelf with nothing in it at all.
It suits modern and minimalist interiors, an entrance console, a dining table or open shelving where its height adds rhythm to a group of objects, and it is an easy housewarming gift for someone who likes clean design.
It also works as the second half of a gift. Send it with a bouquet and the recipient has somewhere to put the flowers the moment they arrive, and something that stays on the shelf once they have faded. If you would rather send flowers already composed in a vessel, our vase arrangements arrive styled and ready to place, with nothing to trim or arrange. For a looser, gathered look in Crystal Oracle, tall stems with a strong outline, such as calla lilies, orchid sprays or a few long branches, suit the narrow waist best, while short, round heads are better kept for a wider bowl.
Clear glass shows the water, so change it every two days when it holds flowers. Wash the vase with warm soapy water between arrangements, dry the ribbing with a soft cloth to keep it bright, and avoid knocks against hard surfaces.
